HOLBROOK (CBS) – A five-hour police standoff in Holbrook ended peacefully Monday afternoon. Holbrook Police said they showed up to a home along Union Street to serve an arrest warrant at 11 a.m. Monday morning. When they attempted to arrest 31-year-old Noah Hennessey, he barricaded himself inside the home, police said.

A SWAT response team as well as the Holbrook Fire and Police departments took over Union Street Monday afternoon.

At one-point multiple officers were seen climbing into the third floor of the multi-family home using a fire truck ladder. Drones were also seen flying in and around the area.

The man they were attempting to arrest barricaded himself inside the home for nearly five hours before he was seen in a black hoodie and grey cap being placed in handcuffs.

A female inside the home was able to escape unharmed out a back window before Hennessy was taken into custody.

“They had good control of this. My only concern was that they had let the kids out of school so soon,” resident Ana Matos said.

Police said Hennessey was arrested and charged with kidnapping and resisting arrest. He was wanted on six outstanding warrants from Plymouth and Norfolk Counties.

Hennessey will be arraigned Tuesday in Quincy District Court.
