JACKSON, MI -- Officers arrested a Jackson man after a six-hour standoff on Friday, police said.
Police obtained on Nov. 19 an arrest warrant for a 36-year-old man on felony domestic violence and false imprisonment charges, according to the Jackson Police Department.
When officers arrived around 3 p.m. at a residence on the 100 block of South Mitchell Street in the city, the man was barricaded inside the building, police said. Personnel that specialize in negotiations arrived on the scene shortly after, police said.
After about six hours, the man exited the building without incident as police arrested him, police said. No one was injured in the standoff, police said.
Upon search of the residence, police discovered multiple firearms. No shots were fired during the six-hour barricade, police said.
The man is currently in Jackson police custody awaiting arraignment.
