Cold weather and scattered light snow continues for Minnesota Tuesday, although there will also be a few more breaks of sunshine.
Tuesday’s forecast
Minnesota is off to a chilly start Tuesday, with most places in the 20s and even a few teens west, meaning much of the state is starting the day with frost. Only the Twin Cities managed to have a couple spots that stayed above freezing over night.
High also stay 10 to 20 degrees below average with 30s north and 40s south.
Tuesday morning is already noticeably sunnier than Monday was, under mostly clear skies, especially in western and central Minnesota. More clouds return in the afternoon, with enough instability for a few flurries or light snow showers.
No significant accumulation is expected.
A big warmup is expected by Thursday, then another weather system cools temperatures again. That extended forecast will be updated around 9 a.m.
