Dunkin’ is hoping its newest doughnut is a home run with fans.
The doughnut is called the “Fenway Faithful Donut” and is all about the Red Sox.
It features “Dunkin’s classic Vanilla Frosted Donut topped with limited-edition red sprinkles, inspired by the iconic color of the hometown team, and serves as the perfect sweet treat to celebrate the Red Sox,” Dunkin’ said in a statement.
It will only be available for a limited time in New England.
The company is also offering a happy hour on coffee “to help fans fuel up for all their extra innings.”
“Now through August 17, fans can swing by Dunkin’ and score any medium hot or iced Latte, Cappuccino, or Signature Latte for $3 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. daily,” the company said.
The company said they also have two new flavors to add to drinks, cookie dough flavor and butter pecan flavor.
“This summer we’re helping New Englanders get back to doing all their favorite things that make summertime in New England so special, especially cheering on the Boston Red Sox,” said Suzanne Pingeton, Marketing Director-Northeast at Dunkin’.
This summer, Dunkin’ is also trying a few new drinks at select locations.
The “ElectroBrew” is a new type of Cold Brew for the Canton-based restaurant and “is made by infusing ultra-smooth Cold Brew with refreshing coconut water for a subtly sweet taste and burst of electrolytes, with no added sugar for the fuel needed to take on the day.”
For now, it will only be available in Springfield or parts of Florida.
