He's still not able to go to his new city, but newly hired FC Cincinnati head coach Jaap Stam got acquainted with a group of the club's supporters on Friday, hopping on Zoom for a virtual happy hour that saw him do a lengthy Q&A session with his new fans.
The supporters eagerly picked Stam's brain on a wide range of topics, including his tactical vision for the team once he's able to finally take over, to his thoughts on the roster, to some of his memories as a player for some of the world's most elite clubs. Stam, who was considered one of the best defenders of his era during his playing days, is currently in the Netherlands as he awaits clearance to head to the United States due to border closures caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Give the whole thing a watch below for some good insight on what to expect from Cincy's new coach (Stam logs in around the four-minute mark).
