KALAMAZOO, MI — Officers arrested two suspects on felony charges after a six-hour standoff Saturday night at a home in the city’s Edison neighborhood.
Kalamazoo Public Safety officers were dispatched to a home in the 2000 block of March Street at about 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16 on the report of a man with a firearm threatening the victim at the home, a news release from KDPS states.
The suspect, a 32-year-old Kalamazoo man, barricaded himself in the home upon police arrival, leading to the Kalamazoo Metro SWAT Team also responding to the incident.
After a six-hour standoff, the suspect surrendered to police without incident. There were no reported injuries, the release states.
A second suspect, a 34-year-old Kalamazoo resident, was also arrested on felony charges.
The Criminal Investigation Division is investigating this incident.
