An earthquake of magnitude 4.8 occurred only 12 minutes ago 24 km southwest of Calarca, Colombia, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported.
The quake hit at an intermediate to considerable depth of 153 km beneath the epicenter near Calarca, Quindio Department, Colombia, early morning on Wednesday 27 January 2021 at 2:57 am local time. The exact magnitude, epicenter, and depth of the quake might be revised within the next few hours or minutes as seismologists review data and refine their calculations, or as other agencies issue their report.
