Even with seasonable and above-average temperatures expected, we're still looking at two chances of light snow in the next coming days. Scattered light snow will be possible Friday night into early Saturday morning. Little to no accumulations are expected. The better chance of snow will be Saturday night into Sunday. A quick-moving low-pressure system will move across the area bringing enough moisture for light snow.
Current guidance has a band of heavier snow staying to the north of Rochester. Light snow will be possible late Saturday evening extending into early Sunday morning. The current timeline has snowfall wrapping up before 7 a.m Sunday. At this time, accumulations are expected to be minor.
Even with the snowfall, temperatures will stay fairly warm this weekend. Highs will be in the upper 30s Saturday afternoon with partly sunny skies. High temperatures on Sunday will dip into the upper 20s and lower 30s. Next week, highs are expected in the upper 30s and lower 40s.
