Some school districts in the Lehigh Valley are calling Sunday night for a 2-hour delay for school Monday.
Bangor Area, Nazareth Area and Wilson Area school districts are calling for a 2-hour delay to the start of school on Monday, Jan. 10.
The delays are posted on the school district websites.
Pen Argyl Area School District is also opening 2 hours late, according to WFMZ TV.
The school districts are concerned that water on the roads from Sunday’s rain could freeze up Monday morning and make the roads slippery.
After freezing rain Sunday morning and rain throughout Sunday, the temperatures are expected to plunge down to 21 degrees by sunrise Monday, according to the National Weather Service.
