All Jeffco Public Schools building and facilities will be on a two-hour delay Thursday morning because of wintry weather and frigid temperatures.

There will be limited staff at schools to supervise any early-arriving students, the school district said. Child care programs that normally run before school will also have a two-hour delayed start. School buses will pick up students two hours later than their normal schedule.
The district has more than 80,000 students.
The overnight low in Jefferson County is expected to about 3 degrees, with a wind-chill value of -9 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
Cherry Creek Schools will also operate on a delayed start Thursday, including online students.
Elementary and morning preschool bus pick-up and school start times are delayed 60 minutes, Cherry Creek Schools announced Wednesday at 7 p.m. High school and middle school bus pick-up and school start times are delayed 90 minutes. Before-school child care will operate on a normal schedule.
On Thurs., January 6, CCSD will be on a delayed start. With current staffing shortages due to COVID & the potential for bad weather, we are taking the precautionary measure to call a delayed start for all students, including online students.
