UPDATE: Chayce Beckham won this season of “American Idol.”
Grace Kinstler officially came in third place after she was eliminated during the first hour of the finale of “American Idol” on Sunday.
The two other contestants, Willie Spence and Chayce Beckham, continue to compete during the show’s final two hours.
Fans have been allowed to vote since the beginning of the episode with voting continuing through the remainder of the show.
Voting ends during the last commercial break.
The contestants were set to perform multiple songs during the three hour episode. The first round of singing included songs chosen by the judges.
Kinstler, a Berklee College of Music student, was the only woman left in the competition and was the only contestant that had Massachusetts ties.
“Berklee is well-represented in the ‘American Idol’ finale by Grace Kinstler, an artist with poise, professionalism, and heart,” said Berklee College of Music president Roger H. Brown.
She is majoring in songwriting.
“I first was going to do vocal performance, but then I felt like going in I had a lot more to learn about songwriting,” Kinstler told MassLive. “I wanted to really delve into something that I love to do, but that I wanted to learn how to do more eloquently and more effectively.”
For fans who can’t get enough, Kinstler has released original songs on Spotify and iTunes. But for those continuing to watch the episode, they can now vote for Spence or Beckham to win it all.
Here’s how to continue voting for Willie Spence and Chayce Beckham.
Fans can vote up to 30 total times. This includes 10 votes per voting method.
Voting is allowed through online, text messages and the “American Idol” app. For those voting through text, the number of the contestant can be texted to “21523.”

- Chayce Beckham: text 5 to “21523″
“American Idol’s” Twitter account will also help keep fans updated on ways to vote.
