The best happy hours in Philly right now - The Philadelphia Inquirer

sekirta.blogspot.com

There are few things in this world that you can purchase for $5 or less, and cocktails, wine, beer, and food are rarely on that list — that is, except during happy hour. Happy hour gives you the rare chance to go out with a specific budget in mind and know with confidence that you’ll stick to that budget.

It’s a glorious time when food and drinks are discounted for after-work crowds and those looking for an inexpensive night out. And in Philly, happy hour exists throughout the city in all neighborhoods and at all types of bars.

“What makes Philadelphia so unique for happy hour is the depth and breadth of cuisines you can enjoy,” said Chris Parker-Rajewski, cofounder of Happy Hour Philly. ”You can go for a great Thai happy hour at Chatayee Thai in Midtown Village, sushi at QU Japan, Latin American at Mixto, Mexican at Nemi, $1 oysters at Olde Bar.”

And Philly does happy hour better than almost anyone else, he says — in other places, you might only find a taco Tuesday or a $1 off draught beer.

Here are the best happy hours to check out in Philly right now.
