No change in policy announced that they the last meeting
The FOMC meeting minutes will be released at the top of the hour.
At the last meeting the FOMC kept rates unchanged at 0% to 0.25%. It did not announce any enhanced or guidance. It said that it was continuing to talk about the efficacy of any yield curve control policy.
The Fed did announced that it would purchase 80 billion of treasuries per month and 40 billion of MBS securities.
The central tendencies showed that they expect unemployment rate to an era 9.3% and for that rate to move to 6.5% by the end of 2021.
The Fed projected that rates would stay unchanged at current levels for the the next few years.
