Barbara Gail Light, 78, of Empire, passed away Sunday, August 2, 2020, at UAB Hospital.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 7, 2020, from 6 until 8 p.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church. Graveside services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Union Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Bobby Waddle will officiate.
Mrs. Light was preceded in death by her husband, Homer R. Light; parents, Walter and Estell Partain; brothers, Odell Partain, Ray Partain and Eulas Partain; daughter-in-law, Sonya Light; and grandson, Austin D. Light.
She is survived by her son, Michael Light (Suzan Steffan); grandchildren, Ryan Knight (Lisa), Lauren Harris (Bradie), Zack Light (Kelsey) and Kaden Light; great-grandchildren, Alana Light, Brantley Light, Sammy Knight, Khalie-Ann Knight and Lori Harris.
