MADISON, Wisc. — An Alert Day is now in the forecast for Tuesday morning. Light snow will likely make the morning commute slushy.
Light snow will start after midnight, and rain or sleet may mix with the snow at times. Drivers should a lot extra time for their morning commute Tuesday, as roads will likely be slick and visibility may be reduced at times. Accumulation totals will like stay below 1″ for areas north and east of Dane County, while areas south and west will see totals from ranging from 1-2″.
Most precipitation will transition over to light rain by midmorning.
Rain showers will continue through the afternoon and evening. Scattered showers will likely continue Wednesday, but there is no threat for more light snow. Sunny skies will return for Thanksgiving Day Thursday.
