Thursday afternoon, members from Coweta County Fire Rescue battle a trailer fire on Weldon Road.
Coweta County firefighters were busy Thursday afternoon.
Just after 3 p.m., firefighters were dispatched to 21 Lagrange St. in Grantville after receiving reports of a fire inside a laundromat. Firefighters were able to dispatch an attack line and extinguished the fire quickly, according to Battalion Chief Robby Flanagan with Coweta County Fire Rescue.
There was minimal damage to the facility, Flanagan said, and after securing the power to the affected section, the business was able to resume operations.
At 3:21 p.m., firefighters responded to another structure fire on the 600 block of Weldon Road. Upon their arrival, firefighters found a fully involved travel trailer fire on the property.
Crews dispatched 1 ¾-inch hand lines and extinguished the fire quickly, Flanagan said. The trailer and pickup truck it was attached to were deemed total losses.
No injuries were reported in either fire.
