Light flurries Saturday - wpta21.com

Winter's grip on the region remains steady through this weekend, which will feature more cold and chances for light snow.

A weak weather system combined with some lake effect snow will bring the potential for light snow through the day Saturday. Chances will be greatest north and west of Fort Wayne. Little to no accumulation is expected, with isolated totals up to an inch possible.

Otherwise, we're in for another chilly day with highs in the low 20s. Tonight, despite some cloud cover, lows will dip back into the single digits.

The cold is here to stay into Sunday, which will see highs in the upper teens. Snow chances look low, with mostly cloudy skies for most.

Our attention then turns to a bigger weather system that pushes in Monday. This will bring the chance for higher snow totals, with the greatest potential for more significant snow southeast of Fort Wayne. We'll continue to watch the track of this system over the next day or so before locking in snow estimates.

I'll have a closer look at how much snow we can expect as well as how long the snow will last this morning from 6-8AM on ABC21!
