Tonight: As skies become cloudy, there will be a chances for scattered light snow showers through tonight. This will be the first push of moisture with a second push coming Monday. With clouds in place, it will be a slower drop in temperatures and it won't be as cold with lows about 6 to 12 degrees below zero. This means that any snow will be extremely dry and fluffy. Winds will be light with minimum wind chills of 10 to 15 below zero.

Monday: Snow should die down before sunrise except for some light snow lingering along and south of I-80. Throughout Monday, we will see another plume of moisture pushing light snow chances to about highway 20. Highs will range from about 2 to 8 degrees with a light northeast wind. Minimum wind chills will be about 15 below to around 0 degrees.

The light snow will push out Monday evening with overall totals of a trace to 3” with the highest totals south. While not a lot of snow, it will be the fluffy type that may accumulate quick on the roads. Once the snow moves out, skies become partly cloudy and lows dip to about -3 to -12. Luckily, winds will still be light with minimum wind chills 10 to 20 below. Still pretty cold.

Tuesday: Skies look partly sunny with highs in the single digits. Winds still look light and variable.

Rest of the Week: The rest of the week cold be fairly active with plenty of light snow chances. These will start Tuesday night and will be on and off through Friday with plenty of cloud cover. Additional accumulations should not amount to very much and will be more of a nuisance than anything. Highs climb to 10 on Wednesday before a stronger wind cools us down once again to 5 on Thursday and near 0 for Friday. Lows stay below zero with the coldest air overnight from Thursday night and Friday night with lows double digits below zero and wind chills 30 to 35 below zero.

Weekend: Saturday is partly cloudy with more light snow for Valentine's Day on Sunday. Highs will be near 0 degrees and 5 degrees respectively with lows double digits below zero. Wind chills may be as low as 30 or 35 below.

Next Week: We should start to claw out of the cold air as we return to the teens. There will be another snow chance on Monday.
