More than 100 employers offering full-time jobs that pay at least $18/hour will be at the Las Vegas Convention Center's West Hall on Friday, April 15, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the Spring Job Fair hosted by Clark County Commission Chairman Jim Gibson and Commissioner Tick Segerblom. A full-time job offering an hourly wage of $18/hour equals about $37,000 a year in pay.

Job seekers are encouraged to pre-register at http://www.nvcareercenter.org/springjobfair2022/; however, walk-ins are also welcome. Parking is free in adjacent lots, and job seekers should enter the job fair through the West Hall entrances toward the south side of the building. Attendees should dress for success and bring multiple copies of their resumes as employers may offer on-site interviews and make on-the-spot job offers.

Employers with $18/hour jobs (including tips) include those in the hospitality industry, such as MGM Resorts International, Caesars Entertainment, Resorts World, The Venetian, Golden Gaming, and Boyd Gaming. Employers in other industries such as Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging (SDMI), Nevada State Bank, Barclay's, the Clark County School District, Giving Home Care, Robertsons Ready Mix, Blueprint Studios, and Southwest Airlines will also have jobs available that pay at least $18/hour.

"The Spring Job Fair is perfectly timed for employers to staff up and prepare for what we expect to be a record-breaking travel year for Las Vegas. This means more career opportunities for job seekers at attractive wages and benefits," said Wanda Gispert, Vice President of Workforce Development & College Programs for MGM Resorts International. "Work is available whether you area first-time job seeker, changing fields, newly relocated to the area or retired and wish to return to work."

"We are local. Everything from facilities and maintenance to technologists and radiologists are employed in-house," said Michelle Nicholl, Chief HR Officer at Steinberg Diagnostic Medical Imaging (SDMI). "It is important to SDMI to support Southern Nevada, and one of the ways we do that is by employing over 500 local team members. We are excited to participate in the upcoming Spring Job Fair and discuss the opportunities of a career at SDMI with potential candidates."

One-Stop Career Center and Nevada JobConnect employment professionals will be on-hand to provide job seekers with a quick resume check and let attendees know about no-cost employment and training help. Job seekers will be able to use laptops and printers at no charge. The Southern Nevada Health District will also be at the job fair to offer free COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters.

"It's great to see that Southern Nevada continues to add jobs," said DETR Director Elisa Cafferata. "Employers are actively hiring, and this Spring Job Fair provides the business community and job seekers an outstanding opportunity to connect."

"The Spring Job Fair allows job seekers to have valuable face time with employers offering competitive wages and hiring now," said Workforce Connections Executive Director Jaime Cruz. "Helping community members connect with well-paying jobs is critical to keeping our economy strong.”
