RIGGINS - According to the Idaho Transportation Department, the US-95 slide detour route on Old Pollock Road will open an hour earlier starting Wednesday, July 15. Traffic will be allowed on the route from 5:00am - 8:00pm PDT (6:00am - 9:00pm MDT).
This change in time is to better accommodate local traffic. All motorists utilizing the route must adhere to flaggers and pilot cars who are there to safely and efficiently direct traffic through the area.
The detour will remain closed at night as crews perform maintenance operations on the roadway, which typically does not see this amount of traffic.
