“A bright light is shining amid the tourism industry as part of the Governor’s Cares Act Funding program in which all 15 distressed counties will receive at least $25,000 in grant support specifically for tourism marketing initiatives to promote the return of responsible visitation into those communities. The designated Destination Marketing Organization in each county is working directly with Tennessee Department of Tourist Development to craft ideas and generate projects to be executed by December 30, 2020. As each county identifies projects to promote safe travel, grant administrator, Horne, will assist with ensuring proper compliance for the 100% reimbursable grant when spent on tourism marketing initiatives.”
