San Diego Police officers arrested a man who had barricaded himself in the Hillcrest Heights Health Center after a five-hour stand-off Saturday night.

The police department announced through Twitter at 9:10 p.m. that the man had peacefully surrendered and was in custody.

The incident reportedly began when the man, who was possibly armed, entered the center at about 4:10 p.m. Television reporters at the scene said the man was discovered in a shower at the facility and then barricade himself in a room.
