PHOENIX — A zero-cost drive-thru coronavirus testing site that will operate 24-hours a day has opened at Copper Trails School in Goodyear, the Avondale Elementary School District announced in a press release on Saturday.

The testing site in the school parking lot on Canyon Trails Boulevard is open seven days a week and appointments can be booked online with a schedule that shows availability in real-time.

The district partnered with Embry Women’s Health and the Arizona Department of Health Services to operate the testing site in an effort to provide more coronavirus testing opportunities for the community, according to the release.

Embry Women’s Health has 12 other testing sites across the Valley, seven of which are also open for 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The tests, conducted via an oral or nasal swab, are diagnostic tests to see if a person currently has the coronavirus.

Results of the tests generally take two to three business days, according to the website, but many are returned within 48 hours.

Patients are notified with a text message and email when the test results are ready.

The Copper Trails School testing site will remain open until further notice, according to the release.
