Twenty years ago, Herman Schrader decided to take on a little project.
"We just done some of the trees and put the lamp lights in,” Schrader said.
Fast forward to 2020, and it's the biggest light display in the area.
"It's amazing how it has grown," he said.
The leg work takes months. They start decorating on Sep. 1st.
"And it takes every day until the day after Thanksgiving," said Schrader.
Herman stands outside each night and watches the joy it brings to hundreds of families as they drive on through.
"The kids. You can hear them hollering and going on about the lights and how pretty they are," he said.
It became so popular that four years ago they started collecting donations for the Forgotten Child Fund and canned goods for the Community Kitchen.
"The last three years we have collected over $100,000," Schrader told us.
