HANNA CITY (WEEK) -- On Tuesday, area firefighters were put to the test, and on Wednesday they talked about the difficulty of containing the fire amidst all of the wind and weather conditions.
"Strong winds, so lots of things happening at the same time, trying to get people there, get the equipment set up, establish the water supply," explained Logan-Trivoli Fire Chief David Tuttle.
One part of the battle was deciding where to stop the fire at first. The fire appeared to have destroyed three barns, while a grass fire was sparked across the street.
"You have to decide, which I think our folks did a very nice job on, you have to make sure that you get the house out first. Which they did, so it did not extend into the house. And then, try to save as many additional buildings as possible," Tuttle continued.
The Logan-Trivoli Fire Department were the first crew on the scene, but the blaze required a handful of other fire departments to assist in putting the fire out, which took about six hours to do.
