Here at T&C, we pride ourselves on our discerning eye for quality. As a result, our editors know the secrets to finding the best products on the market, whether it's a statement lipstick that doesn't quit, the perfect pair of gold hoops, the most comfortable and stylish mules, chic and functional barware, or the tech devices that will improve your day-to-day life. With T&C Tried & True, our editors will give you an inside look at the pieces they simply cannot live without.

I will spare you from a poetic waxing about how mostly everyone feels about waistbands. Unless one was living under a rock for the last 18 months, it's abundantly clear that they are loathsome. Who didn't relinquish their non-stretch jeans for a more comfortable pair of pants? Needless to say, as we emerge from our protective cocoons, and dare I say it, travel, there is ample opportunity to wear outfits. To parties! To weddings galore! And it is glorious. While I fully agree that a travel outfit should absolutely be comfortable, I downright refuse to wear leggings on a flight. But I have a little secret: a pair of 24 Hour Skinny Jeans from Frame.

They're a slimming pair of cropped jeans with structure so I don't feel like a schlub, but stretch so I don't feel trapped at 30,000 feet in the air. You might not be able to have it all, but damn if these aren't close. The details: Frame designed these jeans with ISKO Vital fabric, which in laymen's terms is medical grade compressive fabric. This, reader, is a dream for anybody who has bad circulation or experiences swelling when they fly (hi that's me). Translation: I can leave my compression socks at home. Score! One less thing to pack in my carryon.

It is absolutely crucial to note that while the waistband for these stovepipes sits above the natural waist for a flattering and shape-enhancing fit, it doesn't cut in or cause discomfort when seated for long periods of time. It conforms with your body your like a pair of leggings would. But don't call them jeggings. These look elevated. When I most recently wore them on a cross-country flight, all I had to do was throw on my favorite white linen button down, toss my leather jacket over my shoulders, and slip my feet into my favorite pair of flats and I looked fabulous. As fabulous as anyone can look at 6:30 am in the security line.

The hybridization of looking timelessly chic while dashing through the airport—and also not having to pack a pair of flight sweats to ensure I am not uncomfortable for 6 hours—is a total game-changer.

Sorry Gen-Z, I'm not ready to give up skinny jeans just yet, especially if they are this comfortable.
