FULTON COUNTY (HOI) - Blue lights were beaming in Fulton County on Friday to honor a deputy who was killed in the line of duty two years ago.
The 'Light the Night Blue' ceremony featured navy lights across the Fulton County Sheriff's Office, as well as a wreath next to the memorial for fallen Deputy Troy Chisum.
Investigators say Deputy Chisum was shot and killed while responding to a domestic disturbance call in rural Avon back in 2019.
A spokesperson for the city says he hopes his community will come together every year to remember the life of Deputy Chisum.
"I think it's a big deal for people to remember what he did and hopefully from years to come will be spending every single day of this anniversary doing the exact same thing."

Family and Friends described Deputy Chisum as a hard-working, family man, who they say one could always rely on.
