CLEVELAND, Ohio -- KeyBank has been listed on the Points of Light’s 50 most community-minded companies in the United States.
The Civic 50 Honorees showcase how companies use their individual time, skills and other resources toward creating a social impact in their companies and communities. Launched in 2012, the program selects honorees based on four dimensions of their corporate citizen and social impact programs: investment of resources, integration across business functions, institutionalization through policies and systems and impact measurements.
KeyBank, the only Northeast Ohio-based company included, has made the list for eight years. Points of Light also included national corporations such as AT&T, Kellogg Co. and Wells Fargo.

Since 2017, KeyBank has provided over $1 billion in low-to-moderate income communities in Northeast Ohio, throughout the company’s National Community Benefits Plan, including mortgages, small business, lending community development. Last year, the bank provided $15.9 million in philanthropy, including $708,000 on supporting individuals and businesses that were affect by COVID-19. KeyBank also created a #KeyBankAssists program, which focus on giving $101,000 to individuals, business and non-profits throughout Northeast Ohio.
“KeyBank’s work in the community is central to our culture and a great source of pride for our teammates,” said Timothy Burke, KeyBank’s Northeast Ohio market president. “The past year brought tremendous challenges to Northeast Ohio and the entire country. Our teammates turned those challenges into opportunities to further enhance and strengthen how we make a difference in Northeast Ohio.”
Points of Light CEO Natalye Paquin thanked Key.
