WINNSBORO, La. (KNOE) - The Franklin Parish Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Winnsboro area man who is accused of shooting at his grandmother.
According to FPSO, they responded to a call off of LA Highway 863 on June 29, 2020, at approximately 12:20 p.m.
They say upon arrival they were notified that a man, identified as 28-year-old Lorn Lee Roberts, had fired gunshots at his grandmother and barricaded himself within her home. They say the victim was able to escape to a neighboring home.
FPSO says with the assistance of Louisiana State Police and Monroe Police Department, they secured the scene. About six hours later, at around 6:20 p.m., Roberts was taken into custody without incident.
Roberts was taken to the Franklin Parish Detention Center.
Sheriff Kevin Cobb would like to express his thanks to the Louisiana State Police and the Monroe Police Department for their manpower and assistance.
