Five people were injured in a crash when a vehicle ran a red light Monday in Roseland on the Far South Side.
One vehicle ran the light at 2:59 a.m. and hit another vehicle with three people inside in the 500 block of West 111th Street, according to Chicago police. The vehicle that ran the light then hit a building.
The driver got out and ran away, but was taken into custody a short time later, police said. A total of five people were taken to hospitals, but their ages, genders and conditions were not immediately known.
The crash remains under investigation Monday morning.
