CORAL SPRINGS, FL – If you want to stay out a little later and eat at your favorite Coral Springs restaurant, now you can.
Starting Friday, restaurants in the city and across Broward County can offer dining services until 11 pm -- instead of 10 pm, according to a new Broward County order.
It’s a victory for restaurant owners who have been pushed for the extra hour in recent weeks so they could serve more people in the evening and earn more revenue during the financially challenging times of Covid-19.
That effort was led by Kevin O’Connor, who co-owns Runyon’s in Coral Springs with his wife, Ryan.
O’Connor said on his Facebook page: “We are proud to have led the charge in the adjusting of the dining room closure mandate of 10pm to 11-11:30pm in Broward County. We could not have done this without the incredible support from our extended “Runyon’s family.”

The new Broward County order allows take-out and delivery of food between 11 pm to 5 am, but prohibits drinking alcohol in public places during that time.
