Light Up Ocala will return to Downtown Ocala this November.
The City of Ocala Recreation and Parks department made the announcement via press release on Monday. The event will return on Saturday, November 20, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.
“Light Up Ocala is a longstanding community tradition that kicks off the holidays and attracts thousands of people to downtown Ocala,” reads a press release from the Ocala Recreation and Parks department.
After multiple attempts at the event in 2020, the Ocala City Council ultimately decided to cancel that event on DATE OF 2020 LIGHT UP OCALA CANCELLATION. The city also cancelled the Ocala Christmas Parade, which recently announced that it will go forward with the parade this year.
This year’s event marks the 37th installment and will feature over 100 vendors. Live music and food options will be scattered throughout the Ocala Downtown Square. Vendor, youth, and Jr. Sunshine Parade applications are currently open.
The deadline to apply is Friday, August 20 at 5 p.m. Digital and hard copy applications are available through the city’s website. https://ift.tt/3wAmdZM
