A Fort Dodge man with outstanding warrants was arrested without incident Tuesday afternoon following a three-hour-long standoff with police.

Michael Euchner, 31, was approached by police after 2:30 p.m. and police were able to confirm he had outstanding warrants. Euchner then locked himself in a business located at 536 S. 22nd St. and refused to exit. Heavy police presence was on scene for several hours.

Euchner was wanted for violation of the sex offender registry – second or subsequent offense, a Class D felony; and for violation of parole.

Shortly before 6:30 p.m., Euchner surrendered and was taken into custody without incident. It is not clear if the suspect was armed.

Euchner will have his initial appearance in Webster County Magistrate Court Wednesday morning.
