BANGOR — Due to the recent rise in Covid-19 cases across the state, Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center is changing some of its visitation policies.
According to hospital officials, beginning August 24th, most patients will be allowed to have one loved one visit between the hours of 2pm and 7pm.
All visitors must be 18 years or older, meet screening requirements, and remain masked at all times while at the medical center, regardless of vaccination status.
Masks must cover the nose and mouth at all times.
Rules vary for labor and delivery patients, and patients who require additional support for communication or behavioral health.
Exceptions to these visiting changes will be reviewed by hospital leaders on a case by case basis.
