Tulsa police are looking for a person of interest involved in a shooting that led to a five hour stand-off at a home near 46th Street North and Peoria on Tuesday.

Tulsa police confirm that they did arrest a person of interest on Tuesday night, but have since confirmed that individual was not the one who fired the shot.

Officers said they originally responded to the home on North Iroquois Avenue, near 46th Street and Peoria Avenue, around 3 p.m. Tuesday for a shooting call, but witnesses told them they never saw the suspect come out of the house, turning the incident into a standoff.

Officers said a 23-year-old man knocked on his neighbor's door and was shot through a window. They said he was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK.

Tulsa Police's Special Operations Team cleared the home around 8:15 p.m. after five hours and didn't find anyone inside.

“It did take a very long time, but we did a slow methodical search to make sure the house was safe and the neighbors were safe and we did a non destructive search," Tulsa Police Captain Richard Meulenburg said.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
